Regional Natural Park of the Northern Vosges

Officially designated a regional natural park in 1976, the Vosges du Nord Regional Natural Park is a protected area of forests, wetlands, agricultural land and historic sites in northeastern France.
The park is not partly located in the Vosges department but extends to two other departments: Bas-Rhin and Moselle. It is a triangle between Wissembourg and Sarreguemines, with a view of Saverne.
At its inauguration, the park covered a total area of 120,000 hectares, but has since grown to 130,500 hectares. It is mainly composed of beech, oak and Scots pine, it reveals here and there meadows and orchards.
You can also discover magnificent villages combining wooden half-timbering and sandstone as well as incredible castles scattered high above.
